Library System Migration - May 26 to May 29

We are migrating to a new library system on Friday, May 29. This will let us bring you one place where you can start your research and manage your library account.  

• The last day to use the current catalog to manage your holds and renew items is Tuesday, May 26.
• For help with items you borrowed during the transition, contact us at circ@westernu.edu or 909-469-5323.
• Holds and renewals are moving to EBSCO Discovery Service on Friday, May 29.

The Electronic Resources webpage and the Discovery Service search box on the library website will continue to be available for searching.

ILLiad Maintenance – April 10 and 11

When: Friday, April 10 at 8 pm to Saturday, April 11 at 4 am PT.

What: OCLC is performing critical upgrades affecting ILLiad.

Impact: ILLiad may be intermittently unavailable during maintenance. You might not be able to submit or access your requests.

Catalog Maintenance – March 26

When: Thursday, March 26 from 3 am – 4 am PT

What: SirsiDynix is updating a server that will affect the catalog.

Impact: The catalog will be available for searching but “My Account” will be down. You will not be able to log in to place holds or renew items.

You will still be able to search the catalog, use the Electronic Resources webpage and the Discovery Service search box on the library website.

Catalog Maintenance – March 24

When: Tuesday, March 24 from 2 am – 3 am PT

What: SirsiDynix is performing server maintenance.

Impact: The library catalog will be completely down during maintenance. Searching, renewing items, and placing holds will not be available. However, the Electronic Resources webpage and the Discovery Service search box on the library website will be available.

When: Wednesday, March 4 from 1 am – 2 am PT

What: Some library catalog features will be offline during server maintenance.

Impact: The catalog will be available for searching but “My Account” features like placing holds, renewing items, or accessing your account will be down.

The Electronic Resources webpage and the Discovery Service search box on the library website will be available.

When: Monday, February 2 from 1 am – 2 am PT

What: SirsiDynix is completing system maintenance that will affect the library catalog.

Impact: The catalog will be down for 1 hour. Searching and accessing ‘My Account’ will be unavailable.

The Electronic Resources webpage and the Discovery Service search box on the library website will be available.
