Proxy server is down

UPDATE: Service has been restored 1/26/18 3:47pm

The proxy server is currently not allowing people to log in off campus or into UpToDate. We are working with University IT to resolve the issue. We will update this blog as more information becomes available.

Full Text links in Publication Finder not working

UPDATE: This issue has been resolved. 1/25/18 12:03pm

If using our eJournal search the date range and links to full-text are currently unavailable. Our vendor EBSCO is currently working on the issue.

If you are using a database like PubMed or EDS and click on our Full Text Finder button, you should be directed to full text.

If you have any problems finding articles, please contact the library at reference@westernu.edu.

We will update this blog as more information becomes available.

Increase in Interlibrary Loan Turnaround Time

Update: As of  3:06 p.m. on 1/23/18, business is resuming as usual and our interlibrary loan requests are being processed.  There should no longer be a delay in our turnaround time.

Due to the federal government shutdown, there may be an increase in our turnaround time for interlibrary loans.  You are welcome to continue to submit your requests, it just may take longer to receive them.  Thank you for your patience.

Booked access

UPDATE: As of 2:20 p.m. on 1/8/2018,  Booked is now available.

The Booked server is currently down. Technical Support is actively working on the issue. We will post updates as more information becomes available.

Library Proxy server off-campus access

UPDATE: As of 9:10 am on 1/8/2018 the proxy server is now available off-campus

The proxy server is currently blocked off-campus. This is causing our electronic resources to be unavailable if you are off the WesternU Network and using the proxy server to log in remotely. Technical Support is actively working on the issue. We will post updates as more information becomes available. Electronic resources are available on-campus.
