EBSCO slow response or timeout

UPDATE: Access to all resources has been restored. 9/22/20 9:39 AM  

Our EBSCO products are experiencing a slow response time or have been timing out.  Here is a list of affected products:

  • Full Text Locator
  • Academic Search Elite
  • Alt Health Watch
  • Biological and Agricultural Index Plus
  • Business Source Elite
  • CINAHL
  • DynaMed
  • EBSCO eBooks
  • Health Source: Consumer Edition
  • Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition
  • Newspaper Source
  • Regional Business News

EBSCO is working on the problem now.  We will update this blog when the problem is resolved.

Full Text Finder down

UPDATE: The Full Text Finder is now working. 9/18/20 5:15 PM

The Pumerantz Library's full text finder button (  ) is currently not working.  The vendor is aware of the problem and working on a fix.  

As a workaround, you can look up the journal name on our ejournal search page to see if we have access.

We will update this blog when the problem has been resolved.

EBSCO Discovery Service and Research Databases intermittent loading issues

EBSCO Discovery Service (search box on the library's home page) and Research databases are experiencing intermittent problems loading webpages.  They are working on the problem now and we will update this blog when the problem has been fixed.

Online Catalog Scheduled Maintenance

The Pumerantz Library Online Catalog (https://whsl.sirsi.net/) will be unavailable on Wednesday, September 16 from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. due to maintenance.

During this time, the Online Catalog features (item lookup, online renew, online holds, item due notices, etc.) will not be available.

Electronic Resources will be available through the Library’s webpages (www.westernu.edu/library).
