OVID links not working on Electronic Resources page

UPDATE 10/8/2013-

Links on the Library's Electronic Resources webpage for Ovid databases are now fixed.

Currently IT (Information Technology department) is not allowing updates to the webpages. We are trying to get an update scheduled ASAP.

Currently the direct links to some Ovid databases are not working properly. We are currently working on the issue.

To access Nursing@Ovid or Books@Ovid, use the link below and select the database you want to search from the menu.

Planned Library Upgrade


Hello WesternU Community,

                Today, the Library Online Catalog (https://library.westernu.edu/uhtbin/cgisirsi.exe/x/0/0/49) will be unavailable between 7 am and approximately 3pm.  This will include online renewals and holds.  Check-out, check-in and other in-persons services will still be available.  Electronic Resources will be unaffected by this outage.

EBSCO databases Health Source Consumer Edition and Health Source Nursing Academic Edition are currently unavailable. The publisher has been contacted. We will update this post with additional information as it becomes available.

Hello WesternU Community,

Due to external issues currently affecting the university network, we are experiencing intermittent outages of several Electronic Resources Search Databases.  These outages are affecting on-campus and off-campus users.  IT is aware of the issue and is currently taking action.  We will provide more information as we have it.
