Catalog Maintenance – August 14

When: Wednesday, August 14, 2024 - 1 am to 2 am PT

What: SirsiDynix is completing server maintenance that will affect the library catalog.

Impact: You will not be able to search the catalog or use any of the ‘My Account’ features like placing holds or renewing items.

The Electronic Resources webpage and the Discovery Service search box on the library website will be available.

Annual Reviews eJournals Access Problems

UPDATE: Access has been restored 7/31/24 6:54 AM

We are experiencing access issues on the Annual Reviews ejournals platform. A message displays that says "Verifying you are human. This may take a few seconds" and does not progress past that. We have contacted the publisher and will update this blog when the problem has been resolved.

ILLiad Website Outage - July 19

UPDATE: Access has been restored 7/22/2024 7:30am

The ILLiad website is currently down. It is impacted by the Microsoft CrowdStrike issue. We are working with the vendor to fix it and will update this post when ILLiad is back online.

Booked Maintenance – July 19

When: Friday, July 19 from 6 pm to 8 pm PT

What: Booked, the study room reservation system, will be down during this Friday’s IT Monthly Maintenance for an upgrade.

Impact: You will not be able to access the site to make or modify your study room reservations. If you have questions about reservations, contact circ@westernu.edu.

AccessPhysiotherapy/F.A. Davis and AccessPharmacy

AccessPhysiotherapy/F.A. Davis and AccessPharmacy are currently unavailable. We understand the frustration that comes with our resources being unavailable and we are doing everything we can to reinstate our access. We apologize for the inconvenience. 

EBSCO eBooks System Maintenance

 EBSCO will be performing scheduled maintenance on Saturday, June 22nd starting at 10:00pm. It is expected to be completed in approximately 30 minutes. During this time you will not be able to download ebooks through EBSCO. You will still be able to read ebooks online during this time. If you have problems downloading outside of the maintenance window, please contact reference@westernu.edu.

Catalog Maintenance – June 11

When: Tuesday, June 11 from 12 am to 2 am PT

What: SirsiDynix is completing server maintenance that will affect the online catalog.

Impact: You will be able to search the catalog but will not be able to place holds or renew items.

You will still be able to search and access electronic material through the Electronic Resources webpage and the Discovery Service search box on the library website.
