E-Journal Locator Outage

Hello WesternU Community,

We are currently experiencing an unscheduled outage of the Library's E-Journal locator on the Electronic Resources page (http://www.westernu.edu/library/library-electronic-resources). The outage is being looked into but there is no ETA at this time for when the service will be restored.

During this outage we would like to direct you to the Journals tab located in the Pumerantz Library Discover Service box on the Library's Landing page (http://www.westernu.edu/library).

We thank you for your patience while this issue is corrected.

Library Proxy Update

Hello WesternU Community,

Tomorrow (9/19) during IT's monthly maintenance window, the Library Proxy server will be receiving an extended update. Access to Library Electronic Resources is expected to be intermittently unavailable during the 6pm to 8pm PST maintenance.

Possible downtime for OVID due to maintenance

Due to routine maintenance, users of Ovid platforms (Nursing@Ovid, Journals@Ovid, Books@Ovid, AnatomyTV) can expect to experience downtime on Saturday, September 13, 2014, from 8:00 PM PDT until Sunday, September 14, 2014, 12:00 AM PDT(North America).

Electronic access to JAAHA is currently unavailable

UPDATE - Access to JAAHA has been restored 9/16/2014

The publisher of the Journal of the American Animal Hospital Association (JAAHA) has recently switched their electronic access platform from Highwire to Pinnacle. Unfortunately our access was not transferred over to the new platform. The publisher has been contacted. We will update this blog as soon as our access has been restored.

EBSCO A-Z list search shows "An error has occurred".

UPDATE - issue has been resolved

Try searching directly at http://atoz.ebsco.com/Titles/1269.

If this works for you then try searching the search boxes again.

Also, try clearing your browser cookies.

A help desk call with the provider has been opened to investigate the error.

EDS Search Box on Library Homepage

8/4/2014 -- The issue with the search box has been resolved. It is now available from the library home page.

7/28/2014 3:09 pm - We have had to remove the search box for now. We are working with EBSCO to resolve the issue. 

The EDS Search Box on Library Homepage is not working off-campus. Please use the following URL to access the library's Discovery Service.

We hope to have this resolved by Monday 7/28/2014.
